In 2006, she and her husband moved with their three-year-old daughter from their family farm in the Cairngorms, Scotland, to the serene countryside of the Wairarapa. As they built their new home and welcomed two more daughters, Sarah found herself inspired by the beauty of New Zealand’s landscapes and the warmth of its communities. This new environment, rich in nature and simplicity, became the perfect backdrop for her next chapter.

Originally trained as a Landscape Architect, Sarah had an innate appreciation for balance, proportion, and detail. Yet, she longed to combine her creative background with her passion for antiques and travel. This vision came to life through Vintage European, a brand born right from her home on the farm.
Since 2013, Sarah has travelled across the UK and mainland Europe, handpicking vintage furniture and collectables that are both beautiful and practical.
